Travis Barker and his Fear of Flying

Travis Barker has a fear of flying that stemmed from a plane crash in 2008. He was one of six survivors of the crash, which killed four people. Barker suffered third-degree burns on over half of his body and had to undergo 27 surgeries. The crash left him with severe survivor’s guilt and PTSD, and he was unable to step foot on a plane for the next 13 years.

In 2021, Barker began to work on overcoming his fear of flying. He started by taking small steps, such as driving to the airport and sitting in a plane. With the support of his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, he eventually worked up the courage to take a flight. In April 2022, he flew to Italy for their wedding.

Barker has said that he is still “equally as afraid of flying as I always was,” but that he is no longer letting it hold him back. He has also said that he hopes his story will inspire others who are struggling with a fear of flying.
